Loris Karius is set to mutually terminate his Besiktas loan contract and return to Liverpool. The German goalkeeper signed a two-year deal with the Turkish giants in the summer of 2018, shortly after his Champions League final nightmare when in goal for the Reds against Real Madrid.
But the deal quickly turned sour, and amid patchy performances he was also left disputing unpaid wages with the Istanbul-based club.
Karius first contacted FIFA over a year ago in a bid to get them to intervene and demand that the 26-year-old was paid the money he is owed by the club, and he has now taken the matter to world football's governing body for a second time.
