Besiktas may opt to activate a contract clause to buy Loris Karius from Liverpool, despite turning down this opportunity earlier in the season.

Karius moved to the Turkish giants on a two-year loan deal in 2018 and the goalkeeper has produced a mixed bag of form in the Super Lig.

Reports from February set out that Besiktas had decided not to activate a clause to permanently bring Karius to the Vodafone Park for £7.25m and that the German would return to Anfield at the end of the season.

However, the club has been impressed by Karius’ response to the coronavirus outbreak and are considering keeping him beyond this campaign, according to Turkish outlet Fotospor (via Sport Witness ).
