On-loan Besiktas goalkeeper Loris Karius has reportedly claimed that the floodlights in Turkey are affecting his vision on the pitch.
The German stopper has conceded 45 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions this season, which has seen Besiktas slip to fifth in the Super Lig and fail to qualify from the group phase in the Europa League.
However, Karius, who is still contracted to Liverpool, has given a surprising reason for his lack of clean sheets. According to Turkish outlet Fotospor, Karius has repeatedly blamed the floodlights in Turkey for affecting his vision.
Karius blamed other factors for his memorably clamorous performance against Real Madrid in the Champions League final in 2018.
