'Killer jellyfish' are being blamed for a spate of dog deaths after a gran's beloved pooch died. Devastated Brenda Overton claims labrador-cross Buster's health rapidly deteriorated after he raced into the sea in Jaywick, Essex, earlier this month.
After splashing about in the water as he usually did during a walk on July 5, Turkish rescue dog Buster walked home and curled up for a nap.
But Brenda later noticed that he seemed more lethargic than normal. The 75-year-old rang the vets three days later after huge chunks of poor Buster's fur and skin started to flake off - leaving a sore the size of a dinner plate behind.
