Liverpool are hoping to raise £6million from the sale of Loris Karius, with French outfit Montpellier believed to be keen on the German goalkeeper.
Goal.com report that the Ligue 1 side are considering a bid for Karius as a replacement for their current No.1 Geronimo Rulli, who they loaned from Real Sociedad last summer and could buy on a permanent deal in the coming months.
But Karius is now said to be on their radar after the 27-year-old cancelled his two-year loan spell at Turkish side Besiktas in May.
He played 67 times across his two seasons in Istanbul, but disputes over his pay and bonuses led to him contacting FIFA in an eventually successful bid to get world football's governing body to intervene.
