The 26-year-old German is best remembered for all the wrong reasons following his two blunders for Liverpool in their 2018 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
He has not played for the Reds since that fateful night in Kiev, and has spent the last two seasons on loan in Turkey. Last month he sought legal action against Besiktas for back payment of four months' wages which he alleged the club had failed to pay him, and in a post on Instagram Besiktas board member Erdal Torunogullari has confirmed Karius wishes to leave.
