Watch live feedShe made the comments after new chancellor Jeremy Hunt forced wilting Liz into submission after he scrapped almost all her proposed tax cuts in a series of dramatic U-turns that will raise £32bn a year for the battered economy.The wannabe PM reversed plans to slash the basic rate of income tax from 20% to 19% in April and axed new VAT-free shopping for foreign tourists.And he will only fund the Energy Price Cap until April, not for two winters as originally planned, promising that support for soaring bills will be reviewed from Spring in a blow to all taxpayers’ heating bills.Truss, speaking to Mason, said: "I recognise that we did act too fast, and that's why I've adjusted what we're doing and I do think it is the mark of an honest politician who does say, yes, I've made a mistake."I've addressed that mistake.
