Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

With Liz Truss resigning as Prime Minister, many will want to know who is touted to pick up the premiership next. When announcing her resignation, Truss said: "We’ve agreed that there will be a leadership election to be completed within the next week." Right now, Rishi Sunak is the favourite to be the next leader of the Conservative Party and the next Prime Minister, according to Betfair Exchange.

The former Chancellor of the Exchequer and PM hopeful in the last Tory leadership election is currently an 11/10 favourite. As reported by Hull Live, Sunak is followed by Leader of the House of Commons Penny Mordaunt who has 7/2 to be the next Tory leader.

In third is Ben Wallace 8/1 followed by Jeremy Hunt 9/1.
