Radio 4 listeners had quite the wake-up this morning after actress Miriam Margolyes launched into an expletive outburst about the new Chancellor.
Ms Margoyles, star of Harry Potter films, Little Shop of Horrors, and many more, was appearing on the flagship radio breakfast show ‘Today’ this morning (October 15) to talk about the passing of Robbie Coltrane, who also acted in the Harry Potter franchise.
She was on air at roughly 8:30am. She was to be followed by a feature on the new Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt. Mr Hunt was appointed to the post yesterday, after PM Liz Truss sacked Kwasi Kwarteng from the role after just 38 days. Her comments about Mr Hunt have gone viral. “I never thought I’d be sitting in this seat…” Miriam began, having just summed up her feelings on Robbie Coltrane — at the same moment that Jeremy Hunt walked into the studio.
