BBC presenter Mishal Husain has announced her departure after 26 years with the corporation.

BBC broadcaster Mishal Husain has reportedly stepped down from her Radio 4 Today show after 11 years.The highly acclaimed journalist, 51, has hosted the show, which is on air Monday to Saturday between 6am to 9am, since 2013. According to The Times, Mishal stepped down from her role yesterday (Friday 22nd November).

BBC interviewer has said that the Paramount PR team did not want him to press Kelsey Grammer on his support for Donald Trump.Grammer appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme to promote the Frasier reboot when presenter Justin Webb started to ask him about his ongoing support for the former President.“You were a Trump supporter, I’m fascinated to know if you still are?” Webb asked the actor.“I am, and I’ll let that be the end of it,” responded Grammer.Following the interview, Webb added: “I should stress that he was perfectly happy to talk about why he supports Donald Trump and still does in the coming election.

The BBC announced this morning that Today presenter and former BBC North America editor Justin Webb would front “Americast” alongside Sopel’s replacement for the North America editorship Sarah Smith and disinformation and social media correspondent Marianna Spring. The BBC’s North America correspondent Anthony Zurcher (known as “the Zurch”) also returns for the show.
