Leeds and Reading festival goers party in scorching sun as temperatures hit 26C

Leeds and Reading festival revellers have ditched their wellies for sun hats and bikinis as the late summer hits a high with temperatures reaching 26C.

It appears the fine weather is set to continue, with widespread sunshine due to bless the annual festival today (Sunday) and tomorrow.Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin said: “I suspect most places will stay dry and with some sunny spells, pretty pleasant if you're out in that sunshine as well.
