Arsenal have re-joined the race to sign Atletico Madrid right-back and Manchester United target Kieran Trippier - but they could be left disappointed.
Trippier, 30, is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League and has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the transfer window.The Gunners looked into the possibility of signing the England international earlier in the summer but were put off by the defender's release clause.
According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are now prepared to return to the negotiating table - despite Atletico's demand for Trippier's £51million release clause to be met.
It is understood the Gunners would like to sign a new right-back, although any move could be dependent on the future of Hector.
