Premier League clubs were last night handed a major boost for this weekend’s action with key players cleared to play after a row with South American and Central American countries was resolved at the 11th hour.Liverpool and Manchester City were among a number of clubs set to be without top names this weekend.That was after the Brazil FA and their counterparts in Chile, Paraguay and Mexico backed down over the row.They wanted the players who did not travel for international duty banned for five days as per FIFA rules.Premier League clubs refused to release players who would be travelling to red list countries.That was because they would not be exempt from a 10-day hotel quarantine on their return.But Brazil and Co were angered they couldn’t.
