Whoopi Goldberg and Carey Mulligan are bringing down the house at the 2021 Met Gala!

The 66-year-old EGOT winner and the 36-year-old Promising Young Woman actress posed with Valentino designer Pier Paolo Piccioli as they walked the red carpet at fashion’s big event on Monday evening (September 13) held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

For the event, Whoopi sported a purple ruffled gown and teal-colored gloves while Carey looked pretty in a pink gown and matching cape.

The annual Costume Institute Gala is the fashion world’s equivalent of the Oscars and the event is usually held on the first Monday of May, but it was postponed until September 2021 due to the pandemic.
