Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd was cracking up as he recalled an awkward incident with a worker at Sainsbury's.Despite working on the soap since he was a youngster, David Platt star Jack was mistaken in an awkward blunder at his local supermarket - but the cashier still knew he was from TV.He recalled the blunder as he said that a member of staff at Sainsbury's was left absolutely adamant that he had appeared on ITV's Tipping Point the night before.

Jack said: "Just in Sainos then a woman on the till says, 'Where do I know you from?, I went, 'Oh it's Coronation Street '. "She went, 'No, no you were on something last night.

Tipping Point! That's it.'"Jack explained that he immediately laughed and responded: "'Oh right, was I?' and the cashier added: "'Yeah, how did you do?'"In a bid not to sound rude, Jack added: "Not bad," but as he got in his car and recalled the moment to his 387,00 followers, he couldn't hold in his laughter. While Jack has been on Coronation Street for 22 years, it seems the cashier might not be a big Coronation Street fan and didn't put the pieces together. However, Jack has been on Tipping Point once before, but it was two years ago that his episode last aired, so it's not quite the episode that the cashier saw the night prior.

Jack has played on the soap for many years and has been nominated for multiple awards over the years while winning the Best Soap Actor at the TV Choice Awards in 2020, the British Soap Award for the best actor in 2018 and British Soap Award for Villain of the year in 2008.
