By Jake Kanter International TV Editor The International Broadcasting Convention, better known as IBC, has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event, which was scheduled to be held in Amsterdam on 11-14 September, is one of countless industry events that have been derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic since the start of the year.
In a statement, IBC CEO Michael Crimp said there remains too many “many unknowns” for the event to continue and the decision to cancel was “hugely disappointing.” IBC showcases industry technology, as well as hosting big-name speakers.
