Andy Serkis embarking on live 12-hour reading of The Hobbit

Andy Serkis had us beaming with joy after revealing he will be giving a live reading of The Hobbit. The actor, who played Gollum in The Lord Of The Rings – set after the events of The Hobbit – will read the entire book from start to finish with no breaks, which will take 12 hours.

If that also means no bathroom breaks, then we’re mildly worried. His efforts are all for charity, with money raised from the reading split equally between NHS Charities Together and Best Beginnings – a charity to help children in the UK have the best start in life – as stars come together to rally funds the coronavirus pandemic.
