The lead singer of a tribute band asked his girlfriend to marry him during a sell-out show at Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom.
Paul Clifford, originally from Dumbarton, was performing with The James Experience Born of Frustration at the iconic venue when he popped the question to his partner of six and a half years, Lorraine Brown.
She said "yes" and joined her fiancé on stage for a dance, with Paul describing the evening as "perfect". The 54-year-old, who now lives in Kinross, told Glasgow Live: "I told the guys that before we do the last song that I wanted to go down and ask somebody something. "I thought I'd never get to do it in the Barrowlands again, so it truly was a one-off gig and it was an absolute sell out.
To be on that stage was amazing and I wanted to share that moment with my girlfriend and ask her to marry me. She got up on the stage and danced with us, it was the perfect evening."I was very nervous.
