Grand National-winning trainer Henry de Bromhead's son, 13, dies in tragic accident

Grand National-winning trainer Henry de Bromhead has died after a tragic racing accident. Teenager Jack de Bromhead suffered fatal injuries after falling from his horse in the fifth race of the Glenbeigh Racing Festival on Rossbeigh Beach in Kerry on Saturday evening.

It is understood De Bromhead fell from his mount as the horses rounded a bend near the water's edge. An air ambulance attended the incident but despite the best efforts of all the emergency services, Jack De Bromhead died at the scene. "A male in his teens received treatment at the scene following the incident but was later pronounced deceased," Gardai said."His body has since been removed to the morgue at Kerry University Hospital."Cllr Michael Cahill said: "Our entire community is shocked, Our sympathies go out to the family.
