Liverpool supporters have been left shocked after hearing Everton's new chant for Conor Coady which has used the same tune to one of the most iconic songs in recent memory.

The Anfield faithful serenaded Divock Origi following his Champions League heroics of 2018/19 - in a period in which he scored six goals across 12 games against the Toffees.

Everton's chant is in fact a tribute of their own to former Liverpool youth prospect Conor Coady, who joined them on loan from Wolves in the summer and scored in their win over Southampton.

But the irony of choosing a song closely associated with the player who routinely put them to the sword seems to have been lost on those involved.
