Andrea Pirlo has wasted no time in making his mark at Juventus after axing Gonzalo Higuain and Sami Khedira from his squad.
The Italian maestro succeeded Maurizio Sarri recently to take up what is his first job in management. Juventus, despite winning a ninth consecutive Serie A title, are in need of an overhaul with their ageing squad failing to deliver in Europe.
Pirlo has been tasked with excelling where Sarri, Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte all fell short. The Bianconeri lost Champions League Finals in 2015 and 2017 meaning their waiting for European glory goes back to 1996.
Pirlo has already exerted his ruthless streak and shown the door to three players who have been pillars of their recent success.
