Gavin and Stacey return confirmed by BBC to 'entertain' during coronavirus crisis

Gavin and Stacey will return to primetime TV in the wake of the coronavirus crisis, BBC has confirmed. The hit Brit drama finished filming back in 2008, but delighted their fans with a Christmas special last December.

Now, BBC has decided to air old episodes of the comedy series on Saturday evenings in a bid to brighten viewers' moods during self-isolation.

The show will run from April 4, accompanied by re-runs of the family sitcom Outnumbered. Peter Kay's Car Share will also get a second breath of life on Friday nights, along with some brand-new comedy material.
