Peter Kay worries fans with first TV appearance in two years on Big Night In

Peter Kay left viewers concerned this evening with his first TV appearance in two years. The Phoenix nights creator, 46, made his TV comeback as Children In Need and Comic Relief teamed up for BBC One's The Big Night In to raise money for charity.

Peter was last seen on TV after the second series of Car Share ended in May 2018. More recently, viewers have been able to watch repeats of his work on Peter Kay's Comedy Shuffle on BBC One.

Introducing the video this evening, Peter was seen wearing his shades as he ate an ice lolly in his garden. He said: "15 years ago I did a sketch for Comic Relief called Is This The Way To Amarillo and I never imagined that it would go down so well and make everyone happy.
