The UK's quarantine policy for travellers abroad has been slammed as an "absolute joke" and an "embarrassment". On a farcical day, it was decided that English holidaymakers returning from Greece and Portugal would still not have to quarantine on returning home.
This came after many had already scrambled to return home after rising cases suggested both countries would follow France and Spain in having restriction reimposed.
But those in Wales and Scotland will now have to isolate after returning from Greek islands and Portugal after the devolved governments took them off their safe corridor list.
