Mr Elms, 25, died following a disturbance on Fifth Avenue last Wednesday (May 26). The father-to-be had been stabbed and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His pregnant girlfriend, in a tribute released by the force, said he was 'thrilled' to become a dad for the first time. Kian Bobmanuel, 21, of Emmett Street East, Manchester has since been charged with one count of violent disorder.
