Mr Elms, 25, was found dead after police were called to reports of a disturbance on Fifth Avenue last Wednesday (May 26). The father-to-be had been stabbed, police said.
His pregnant girlfriend, in a tribute released by the force, said he was 'thrilled' to become a dad for the first time. Frazer McDonald, 19, of Kilton Walk, Manchester has been charged with one count of violent disorder.
A 17-year-old male who cannot be named for legal reasons has also been charged with violent disorder. Both men were remanded into custody after appearing at Manchester and Salford
