The streets of Manchester will be sparkling this weekend when the First Day of Christmas event comes to town. The celebration takes place this Saturday - the day after the city’s popular Christmas Markets open - and will see 'a magical line-up of family-friendly entertainment across the city centre'.
It promises to transport visitors 'to a winter wonderland like no other', filled with festive characters, illuminations, live music, plus lots more.
Organised by Manchester Business Improvement District, the city-wide event - from noon until 7pm on Saturday, November 13 - will see more than 50 performers appear on the city’s streets throughout the day as they help Manchester celebrate the first day of Christmas, 'bringing festive joy to all'.
