Barriers have been installed to stop 'boy racers' wreaking havoc on Falkirk Stadium's car park and signs are now in place to tell people what time it closes each evening.

A spokesperson for Falkirk Community Stadium Ltd said that they were left with no option but to install the barriers after reports that some of the driving was putting other stadium users in danger. "In the past we have witnessed drivers driving to excessive speeds, often when there are other stadium users walking close by; damaging the car park; dropping litter; and the noise they have generated – especially late into the night - has led to complaints from local residents."After consideration it was felt that the only appropriate solution was to install manual barriers that can be locked once the stadium is closed down each day."The Falkirk Stadium car park closing times vary according to events taking place in the stadium and its function rooms, so closing times can vary from 5pm to 2 am.He added: "To keep car park users informed, we have also installed signage so that those parking within the stadium car park know when the car park will be locked each day.
