court has heard how a drunken thief left a 62-year-old pensioner who lives by herself 'scared, worried and upset', by breaking into her house as she watched TV in bed.
Dad-of-two John Stoddard, 42, climbed into the home via the elderly woman's bathroom before proceeding to go downstairs to nick valuables and sentimental items worth more than £1,300, as his unaware victim was in her bedroom.He completed several trips to and from the home, hurling the stolen items over the garden fence.According to Manchester Evening News, the burglar was caught in the act by a nearby neighbour who snapped a picture of the class A drug addict, who had been consuming approximately three litres of cider each day.
