John Stoddard, 42, climbed into her bathroom and went downstairs to plunder valuables, including sentimental items, worth more than £1,300 as his unwitting victim was in her bedroom.
He made several trips and threw the items he stole over the garden fence. But he was caught red-handed by a neighbour who took a picture of the father-of-two former class A drug addict, who had been drinking three litres of cider each day.
