The academy graduate has put pen to paper on a deal until the summer of 2025 and looks set to remain at the club next season and challenge David de Gea to be the first-choice goalkeeper.
It caps an excellent couple of days for Henderson, who was included in the England squad on Tuesday for Nations League fixtures against Iceland and Denmark. “The pathway that I have been on for the past five years has been fantastic for my development and the invaluable loan period at Sheffield United has been part of that," said Henderson.“The goalkeeping department at United is excellent; there are three top-level goalkeepers.
