Crosshouse Primary pupils inspect progress of new £6.8m refurb and extension

Ayrshire primary pupils took a trip to the worksite which is in the midst of updating and developing an extension for their school.Crosshouse Primary School pupils went for a visit with their head teacher Tina Gaitens to see how the refurbishments are coming along.The £6.8m refurbishment and extension, which is being carried out by Fleming Buildings Ltd, is due to be completed this summer.

Kids will benefit from new, light and bright classrooms and a variety of exciting and flexible indoor and outdoor spaces.The two-storey extension will house a new integrated dining and PE block, five additional teaching spaces for both primary school and communication centre use and eight communication centre classrooms that will each have dedicated quiet rooms.Head teacher Mrs Gaitens said: “The children and I were so excited to visit the site, to receive an update on the refurbishment work and view the new extension.
