Over 120 firefighters and 20 engines rush to tackle huge fire at bakery in London

blaze at a London bakery.The fire broke out on Minerva Road in the northwestern area of Park Royal overnight, with emergency services first alerted at 03:23am.Station Commander Paul Morgan, who is at the scene, said: "Crews are working incredibly hard to contain the fire to the single-storey building and prevent further damage. "One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders is being used as a water tower to get water on to the building externally."Minerva Road is closed and there could be some disruption to traffic during the morning rush hour, so please avoid the area."In an earlier update on their website, London Fire Brigade said fire crews from Park Royal, Willesden, Wembley, North Kensington, Ealing, Chiswick and surrounding fire stations had been called to the scene.They added that the cause of the fire is "not known at this time".The brigade later warned that Minerva Road remains closed, and that there could be some disruption to traffic in the area for the morning rush hour.The road is home to a number of commercial and industrial properties, and is located not far from Central Middlesex hospital.Back in 2020, another large fire at a bakery and restaurant on Minerva Road saw the fire brigade receive more than 50 calls about the incident in the same evening.Smoke from the fire could apparently seen more than 9 miles away in Walthamstow.This is a breaking news story and is being constantly updated.
