Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will return to the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations because they "need to be seen as royal", according to a royal expert.
It has also been said that the decision to come back is "entirely due to branding". The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced last week that they would travel from California, US to attend Jubilee events in the first week of June.
Since they sensationally stepped down as working royals in 2020, they have only returned to the UK together once, meeting with the Queen at Windsor in April ahead of the Invictus Games.
Their son Archie, three, and daughter Lilibet, 11 months, will also join them, meaning that it'll be Lilibet's first time in her dad's home country, reports the Mirror.
