Crossbow cannibal Stephen Griffiths became a serial killer in an attempt to find fame, say psychologists. The oddball was desperate to join monsters such as Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe, after murdering three women in 2009 and 2010.

Griffiths, who ate his victim's body parts, is served a life sentence in 2010 for the murders of Susan Rushworth, 43, Shelley Armitage, 31 and Suzanne Blamires, 36 - seen on CCTV being hit in the head with a crossbow.
