Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a "vicious assault" on a 37-year-old man who was found strangled to death in an alleyway.
Baljit Singh died from "compression to the neck" at the scene just after 11pm on Saturday. A manhunt has been launched for two people he was spotted with earlier in the night.
Scotland Yard said Mr Singh's body has been formally identified following the attack in Hayes, west London. Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to Station Road shortly before 11pm to a report of an unresponsive man being found in an alleyway.
