A woman found wandering the streets of Salford asking for help claims she was being kept in a sex slave house. An investigation into modern slavery has now been launched with police in Manchester appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Officers were called to concerns for the welfare of the woman in Dallas Court, off South Langworthy Road, around 7.30am on Saturday May 2.
The alleged victim said she had escaped from an unknown property where she was being forced to operate as a sex worker. As part of her escape she is believed to have hitched a lift from a passing lorry driver to the Salford area, from somewhere outside Greater Manchester.
