Queues of people lined the streets outside shops on the second weekend after the Welsh firebreak ended. People in Cardiff braved the rain to do Christmas shopping amid fears Wales could be forced into another lockdown.
On Friday, First Minister Mark Drakeford warned people to act "sensibly" and think about the risks they were taking when asked whether people should avoid Christmas shopping.
He also said there was no guarantee that Wales would make it to the Christmas period without facing another fire-break lockdown, and urged people to follow the rules.
But this looked to be one of the busiest shopping weekends of the month, Wales Online reports. Many pubs were also said to be fully booked.
