A brave girl battling cancer, who went viral after kissing her dad through a window in lockdown while she was isolating, is now in remission.

Little Mila Sneddon, from Falkirk, captured the nation's hearts at the start of the pandemic when her heartfelt moment with dad Scott was shared widely.

After a long seven weeks apart during coronavirus, the pair were finally reunited as the incredible moment was caught on camera - and has been included in Kate Middleton's book Hold Still.

The five-year-old has since met the Princess as they enjoyed a tea at Holyrood House in March 2021.She also appeared on ITV's Lorraine last year to speak about the family's Scoot in September campaign, which aimed to raise awareness of blood cancer in children.Mum Lynda has now revealed some good news on Twitter as she announced that Mila was now in remission.She is due to ring the bell on March 31 when she finishes her treatment.She said: “Scott, Jodi, Mila and I are completely ecstatic this evening, Mila’s bone marrow has shown there is no leukaemia, she is now in remission.“Bring on the bell ringing on the 31st March when she completes her treatment.“Thank you all for your love and support.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here.
