From wearing nude tights to modest outfit choices, there’s no shortage of protocol and this includes the type of fabrics they choose wear also.
The female members of the family are expected to avoid wearing leather completely as it’s not deemed to be “ladylike” and isn’t a traditional fabric associated with the royal wardrobe.
However, in recent years, we’ve seen many royals sport the daring trend in their everyday outfits. Take Sophie, Countess of Wessex for example, who last week stepped out in New York in a head-to-toe leather look.The mum-of-two ripped up the rulebook as she stunned in a black Loewe belted midi dress, teamed with a pair of Yves Saint Laurent black leather ankle boots.
