Today almost 2000 special guests have gathered at Westminster Abbey to remember Prince Philip. After his funeral was restricted by Covid-19 laws in place last year – which left Her Majesty, 95, sat alone – those who were unable to attend have come together to pay their respects.

The day marked the first public outing by Prince Andrew since he settled out of court with Virginia Giuffre, after being accused of sexual assault – which he has denied.

However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not in attendance amid security concerns.The couple released a statement earlier this year explaining they will not return to the UK without Scotland Yard security, which they have said they would happily privately fund.
