It comes as locals speak of their shock following the "appalling" attack in a "quiet" part of Wilmslow. Another boy, also 14, from Stockport, is currently being quizzed by detectives after being arrested in connection with the alleged attack.

The victim was last rushed to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for treatment where it has been claimed he underwent surgery.
