A plan for hundreds of flats on the site of the former Boddingtons Brewery has been beefed up. Clarion Housing Association was given permission for 461 apartments on the land, which sits on the edge of Manchester city centre.
Two residential blocks between 11 and 27 storeys and a 'pocket park' were given the green light in March 2022. The development will be next to the new Manchester College campus, which opened last year.
Bosses at the college were given permission to expand the new educational facility in August as part of a £38m second phase.
The four-storey extension will house the college's Industry Excellence Academies for Business & Professional Access to Higher Education and Science, as well as the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
