A suspicious fire ripped through a shed and caused £15,000 worth of damage.The blaze broke out at Arrol Drive in the early hours of Sunday morning and destroyed expensive bikes and gardening equipment.Police believe the outbreak started on the cycle path near to Tinwald Downs Road.Householders Ian and Hazel Wright and their son Daniel escaped unhurt but have been left counting the cost of the blaze.Daniel, 26, is a keen cyclist and his five bikes cost a total of £7,000 after being custom built.He said: “It was lucky that nobody was hurt.
If we had all been in a deep sleep it could have been such a different outcome.“We were all in bed but I wasn’t completely asleep between 12.30am and 1am.
