BBC star makes cheeky Prince William joke as he takes seat at Party at the Palace gig
dailystar.co.ukBBC star Kirsty Young couldn't help but make a cheeky joke about Prince William as she hosted the Platinum Party at the Palace concert.The 53-year-old presenter was chatting to BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took their seats ready for the special gig at Buckingham Palace.She halted her chat with Scott and the camera panned to the prince, his wife Kate Middleton and their two children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.Prince William appeared to fiddle with the sleeve of his shirt on camera and Kirsty wondered what the Royal Family member was doing.The TV star joked: "He's sorting his cufflinks I think, or checking he's got his VIP pass on.
They'll let you in anyway i reckon."Rock legends Queen kicked started the star-studded show, with the likes of Alicia Keys, Hans Zimmer, Ella Eyre, Craig David and Mabel also on the line-up.Elbow and George Ezra will also take to the stage with the likes of Duran Duran, Andrea Bocelli, Mimi Webb, Sam Ryder, Jax Jones, Celeste, Nile Rodgers, Sigala and Diversity.Fans were going crazy in the crowd as Queen and Adam Lambert opened the show with classic hit We Will Rock You.Brian May unexpectedly came through the top of the stage - which partygoers in the audience went wild for.Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Gotta love these Queen classics and Brian’s long locks too."Another added: "@adamlambert is amazing as always with queen a great start to the concert."A third person posted: "What an opening."While a fourth social media user said: "Can't beat a bit of Queen."Diana Ross will take to the end towards the end of the concert.Speaking about her upcoming performance, the Chain Reaction singer said: "I have had the honour of meeting The Queen many.
