Atletico Madrid may have given their Champions League opponents Manchester United a huge advantage. The Spaniards left their tactics board at Old Trafford ahead of their round-of-16 second leg encounter.Following the 1-1 draw at the Wanda Metropolitano last month, it’s all to play for at the Theatre of Dreams.
But, according to The Sun, staff members of Diego Simeone’s side left a blueprint of their tactics at the stadium after they trained there on Monday. The side realised the catastrophic error only when they arrived at the city centre hotel.
They had to beg the vehicle that took them to their lodging to go back and collect the document that could have given away their tactics for the upcoming game against United.
The fear is that staff members at Old Trafford may have already caught a small look at the tactics and would have been able to pass on the information to Ralf Rangnick and his assistants.
