Former Manchester United centre-back Rio Ferdinand appears to have suggested that he is against the prospect of his former club building a brand new stadium.
Last month, it was confirmed that United are open to plans to redevelop Old Trafford and go as far as building a brand new stadium on the same land that Old Trafford is currently situated on.
It is understood that the club is in talks with planners over potential development plans for the site and they are remaining open-minded about what could be done, including extending the south stand over the railway lines behind it and rebuilding the famous, old stadium.
United have not yet appointed a contractor to undertake the work and the club is remaining open-minded about what path they could venture down.
