Paul Pogba questioning why the World Cup winner does not perform for Manchester United, after Ralf Rangnick was accused of “hiding” at the club.The Frenchman joined Man United in a £89million record transfer from Juventus in 2016, rejoining the club four years after leaving as a teenager.
However, his time at the club has been blighted by injury and the midfielder has failed to produce his best form, with midfielder admitting he needed a "break" from football after struggling mentally.The 29-year-old is out of contract at Old Trafford in June and looks set to leave the club on a free transfer, as the club prepare to slash their wage bill.
Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all thought to be keen on snapping him up. Pogba has featured regularly under Rangnick since his arrival as interim coach in December but largely failed to impress.
After delivering his assessment of the club four months into his reign, the Rangnick pointed out that United have fallen behind their rivals Liverpool and Manchester City due to a lack of physicality and aggression, suggesting it needs to be addressed with new signings.In a debate on talkSPORT, ex-Liverpool footballer Danny Murphy slammed Rangnick for “hiding” behind the players at Old Trafford and claimed they would improve if they were working under Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
