Jamie Carragher has aimed a dig at Paul Pogba after the midfielder shared a message to Manchester United fans before the defeat to Arsenal.

The France international missed the 3-1 defeat at the Emirates Stadium through injury, having come off less than 10 minutes into the midweek loss to Liverpool.

The defeat at Anfield may well prove to be Pogba’s last appearance in a United shirt. Interim manager Ralf Rangnick suggested ahead of the clash in north London on Saturday that the midfielder could miss the remainder of the season.

With his contract expiring at the end of the current campaign, Pogba looks set to move away from Old Trafford during the summer. "Absolutely gutted to not be able to help the team in today's game," Pogba wrote ahead of the clash with Arsenal. "I will work even harder to come back stronger and hopefully before the end of the season.
