Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba's reported move to Manchester City has been dubbed "unlikely". The Frenchman will be available on a free transfer in the summer as his second stint at Old Trafford comes to an end.

Real Madrid, PSG and a return to Juventus could be on the cards with the European trio linked. MEN Sport understands Pogba is merely one possible central midfield target that Guardiola and City could pursue this summer.

The 29-year-old has reportedly been offered to United's rivals ahead of his departure. However, David Ornstein, speaking to NBC Sports, has said it is unlikely, but not out of the question.

He said: "The possibility of him staying in England has been mooted for a while but then boom it came Manchester City had been offered the chance to sign him and would be interested in doing so but I must tell you and sorry to spoil the party, it is only going to be done on Manchester City's terms.
